  1. Grease, oil, and solvents on dry roads become hazards when wet.

  2. Hydroplaning can occur at speeds as low as 25 mph.

  3. Wet roads increase stopping distances.

  4. Vehicle control can be lost.

  5. When it rains:

  • Reduce speed.
  • Increase distance from vehicles ahead.
  • Turn on headlights.
  • Pump brakes if wet to dry them.
