– Always read and understand the Owner and Operation Manual (OMM) before using any equipment

– Visually inspect the machine before operating

– Be sure to ring test new abrasive wheels before mounting

– Always be sure the machine guards are in place and working before operating

– Always leave the wheel in good working order

– Always be sure to turn the grinder off when it is not in use

– Be sure to never exceed the safe maximum operating speed that is marked on the wheel, blade or disc

– Never wear loose clothing or any type of jewelry that could get caught in the machine

– Always wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when operating any type of grinder or abrasive saw

Grinders and abrasive saws are among the most commonly used pieces of equipment in any shop. They are also among the most dangerous tools. Being safe and paying attention to the task at hand is critical in the operation of these tools.
